Official selection announced for the 2026 NaNo Film Festival

We are pleased to announce the selected titles that will bring the upcoming edition of the NaNo Film Festival to life. The initiative, promoted and co-financed by the Municipality of Naples, is scheduled from September 29 to October 3 at the TAN, in the Northern Area of Naples, and is held under the patronage of the European Parliament and the European Film Club.

Official announcements have been published in the past few hours on the festival’s social media channels, where the full list of selected titles is now available: we invite you to follow us and stay tuned for all upcoming news, which will be revealed in the coming weeks.

In the Short Comedy category, the following were selected:
“Just Say Hi” by Olga Smelova, “Taste of India” by Fabio Garofalo and Jacopo Santambrogio, “The Last Ingredient” by Lorenzo Cioglia, “Unreal Estate Agent” by Bodhi Le Belle, and “An Afternoon Punch-Up” by Garance Chagnon-Grégoire.

Competing in the Short Drama category:
– “I fiori non hanno le scarpe” by Matteo Vicentini Orgnani, “Le Mur du Son” by Antonio La Camera, “Domenica Sera” by Matteo Tortone, “Pocket Money” by Matteo Sanders, “Qaher” by Nada Khalifa, and “The Lap” by Robert Piel.

Competing in the Short Documentary category:
– “Boom7” by Marit Vreeswijk and Gabriela Forfota, “Il Futuro” by Antimo Campanile, “Alien Rider” by Jacopo Domenichini, “Body of the Unbound” by Elias Hill and Fern Sripungwiwat, and “Martyrion, storia di Isabelle” by Luca Ciriello and Teresa Antignani.

Selected for the Short Animation category:
– “The Paper Ghost” by Fulvio Davide Ricca, “Have a Nice Dream” by Jonathan Kirkpatrick, “Acceleration” by Stepan Crani, “In Thousand Petals” by Louise Bongartz, and “Rukeli” by Alessandro Rak.

In the Corto Campano category, reserved for authors and productions with ties to the local territory, the following will be in competition:
– “Alla Svizzera” by Domenico Pizzulo, “Appuntamento a Mezzogiorno” by Antonio Passaro, “Solo il Mare” by Paola Beatrice Ortolani, “Anime Vive / Living Souls” by Adam Selo, and “Thanks for the Flowers” by Mario Ricci.

The festival will also host two parallel sections:

• For Documentary Feature, the selected titles are “Matriarca” by Gaetano Mattia Cosentino, “Nyumba” by Francesco Del Grosso, “Sámi vs. Sámi” by Ellen-Astri Lundby, and “Dentro” by Elsa Amiel;
• For the Music Video section, the selected titles are “Zagara Miele e Sale” by Just Maria Maria, “We Remain Standing” by Alessandro Rak, “HA (Gabaldon)” by Nuno Belmar, “Telephone” by Teo Nicolau Martin, “Lunch” by Roberta Proxy Riccio, “Monologue du Bassin” by Nina Thomas, and “Born to Dance” by Michał Cygan.

With the selection of the competing titles, the NaNo Film Festival officially enters the heart of its 7th edition. Stay tuned for more news about the festival’s editorial section, which will once again host numerous authors from the Italian literary scene this year.
